It may enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature already on the battlefield except it gains “Whenever this creature attacks, it connives,” letting you draw then discard and potentially put a +1/+1 counter on it when it attacks. As a flexible copier it can adopt enter-the-battlefield effects of the chosen creature and serves both as a value engine and a utility body for decks that want copying or recurring effects.
