It has first strike, lifelink, and an end step triggered ability that creates a 1/1 Cat token when you gained life that turn and can copy those tokens if you have the city's blessing from Ascend. Its role is as an aggressive one-drop that also builds token counts and can snowball into larger token production under Ascend, supporting go-wide or lifegain synergies.
