Warping Wurm (MIR 287) is a rare Creature — Wurm from the Mirage expansion. It has Phasing and requires you to pay {2}{G}{U} at the beginning of your upkeep or it phases out, and whenever it phases in you put a +1/+1 counter on it. Its 1/1 starting stats and incremental +1/+1 growth encourage intermittent presence and long-term scaling in decks that can pay its upkeep.
