Discordant Spirit (MIR 261) is a rare Creature — Spirit from the Mirage expansion. It gains +1/+1 counters at opponents' end steps equal to damage dealt to you that turn, but all +1/+1 counters are removed at the beginning of your end step. This creates a temporary aggression-scaling body that grows after opponents' turns yet does not retain counters through your upkeep, making it a threat that fluctuates with how much damage you take.
