Eye for an Eye (ME4-12) is a white instant reprinted in Masters Edition IV that redirects damage from a source to that source's controller. When it resolves before damage would be dealt to you this turn, it causes Eye for an Eye to deal that much damage to the source's controller while the original source still deals its damage to you. It functions as a direct-damage deterrent that punishes attackers or harmful sources by turning their damage back on their controller.
