When it enters the battlefield you may pay X; if you do, a reflexive trigger lets you cast target instant or sorcery card with mana value X from a graveyard without paying its mana cost, and that spell is exiled if it would be put into a graveyard. The reflexive trigger requires you to choose the target after paying X and X may be 0, enabling specific interactions with zero-cost or free spells.
