Gloomfang Mauler (MOM 108) is a common Creature — Nightmare from the March of the Machine set. It has swampcycling for card filtering and Backup 2, which places two +1/+1 counters on a target creature and can grant Menace to that creature until end of turn. As a 5/5 with menace when its backup grants the ability, it can serve as a sizable attacker or a counter-based support piece in aggressive or midrange black decks.
