Transmute Artifact (PRM 65644 foil) is a rare blue sorcery promo reprinting a two-mana effect that trades an artifact for another from your library. As it resolves you sacrifice an artifact, then search your library for an artifact and put it onto the battlefield if its mana value is less than or equal to the sacrificed one, or you may pay the difference to put it in play; otherwise it goes to the graveyard. The card enables toolbox and value plays by converting one artifact into another at instant-board resolution, often used to upgrade or find combo pieces.
