It gains control of target artifact or creature and untaps it, allowing you to take an opponent’s permanent and make it available immediately if it has haste or already untapped. The card’s ruling clarifies that attached Auras/Equipment are not gained and that creatures without haste can’t attack or pay {T}-cost activations until they become untapped and able to do so.
