Mercurial Pretender (PM15-68 foil) is a blue creature Shapeshifter from the Magic 2015 Promos set that can enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature you control. When it enters as a copy it gains the activated ability "2UU: Return this creature to its owner's hand," and it can also choose not to copy and enter as a 0/0. Its copy behavior includes interacting with enter-the-battlefield triggers and respects copy rules for tokens and copied creatures, which makes it useful for copying beneficial ETB effects or dodging removal by returning itself to hand.
