Elite Arcanist (M14-54) is a rare blue Creature — Human Wizard from the Magic 2014 core set. When it enters the battlefield you may exile an instant from your hand, and you can pay {X} and tap to copy that exiled instant and cast the copy without paying its mana cost, where X equals the exiled card’s mana value. Its role is as a spell-repeater and combo enabler, enabling free copies of instants while it remains on the battlefield.
