It may enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield except it does not copy that creature’s color, and it has a triggered upkeep ability allowing it to become a copy of a target creature (also not copying color) including gaining additional instances of that ability if it copies another Doppelganger. This card is typically used to mirror opponents’ creatures or to change forms repeatedly to gain specific characteristics or enter-the-battlefield states.
