Counter target spell. Choose 1, 2, or 3 at random. Its controller mills that many cards, then exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile a nonland card with a different name than that spell. They may cast that card without paying its mana cost. Then they put the exiled cards on the bottom of their library in a random order.

Tibalt's Trickery (KHM 153 foil) is a red instant from Kaldheim that targets and counters a spell while triggering a random-mill-and-exile sequence for that spell's controller. When it resolves, the opponent mills 1–3 at random, then exiles cards from their library until they find a nonland card with a different name than the countered spell and may cast that card without paying its mana cost. The effect can generate large swings by replacing the countered spell with a potentially powerful free cast and also works even if the target spell can’t be countered, though the counter won’t occur in that case.
