When it enters the battlefield you may search your library and/or graveyard for a Rune card and put it into your hand, and it lets you pay {1} instead of a Rune spell’s mana cost to cast those spells. Its role is enabling Rune synergies by tutoring Runes and providing a consistent alternative casting cost for those spells.
