Black Vise (MPS-32 foil) is an artifact reprint in the Kaladesh Inventions/masterpiece series. As it enters the battlefield you choose an opponent, and at that player's upkeep it deals damage equal to their hand size minus four. Its role is to punish opponents for holding many cards and can serve as a hand-size pressure or combo enabler in decks that manipulate opponents' draws or hand counts.
