Backlash (INV 234, Uncommon) is a black-red instant from Invasion. It taps a target untapped creature and causes that creature to deal damage equal to its power to its controller. The targeting restriction requires the creature be untapped when the spell is cast and resolved, which can interact with removal timing and combat tricks.
