Aether Rift (INV 227, foil) is a red-green enchantment from the Invasion set. At the beginning of your upkeep you discard a card at random and if that discarded card is a creature it returns from your graveyard to the battlefield unless any player pays 5 life. The ability can generate value by reanimating creatures but risks fueling opponents' effects that care about discards and allows life payment as a tax to prevent the reanimation.
