The front face can accumulate hatchling counters for {1}{U}, and when it reaches five counters it transforms into Ludevic's Abomination, a 13/13 Lizard Horror with trample. The card supports a ramp-up transformation mechanic that turns a defensive early blocker into a massive threat once the counter condition is met.
