It can strip an opponent’s instant or sorcery from their hand, weaken a creature by −2/−2, or drain 2 life from an opponent while you gain 2 life. Its escalte cost requires discarding additional cards to select extra modes, making it a hand-resource-dependent removal and disruption tool.
