Bereaved Survivor // Dauntless Avenger (DBL-4) is a double-faced creature from Innistrad: Double Feature that transforms from a 2/1 Human Peasant into a 3/2 Human Soldier. The front face transforms when another creature you control dies, and the back face has a triggered ability that returns a creature card with mana value 2 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped and attacking when it attacks. As a transform creature with a recursion attack trigger, it functions as a value engine in sacrifice, death-trigger, and graveyard-based aggressive or midrange white decks.
