It can pay {1}{B} and discard a card to gain indestructible and tap, and it transforms into Bloodsworn Knight when you have four or more creature cards in your graveyard, becoming a creature whose power and toughness equal the number of creature cards in your graveyard. The back side retains the activated discard ability and scales with graveyard size, making it a growable threat and a card-graveyard synergetic piece for midrange or sacrifice decks.
