Burnt Offering (ICE-116) is a common Instant from the Ice Age expansion. To cast it you must sacrifice a creature and add X mana in any combination of black and/or red equal to that creature's mana value. It acts as scalable mana acceleration for black or red decks, enabling larger spells or abilities by converting a creature's mana value into colored mana.
