Lethal Sting (HOU 67) is a common black sorcery from Hour of Devastation that requires paying its mana cost and an additional cost. As an additional cost to cast it you must put a -1/-1 counter on a creature you control, and the spell destroys target creature. It functions as removal that can trade your creature to kill an opponent’s or clear blockers, so it often fits in decks that can afford sacrificing a creature or want cheap removal.
