It surveils 1 when it enters the battlefield and can pay {X} to become a copy of a creature card in your graveyard with mana value X while keeping its name and legendary status. This ability lets it reuse graveyard threats as a flexible threat and can interact with counters and continuous effects that were already on Lazav.
