Aetherplasm (Guildpact #22) is a blue Illusion creature with power 1 and toughness 1 that returns to its owner's hand when it blocks as a triggered option. When it returns, you may put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield blocking the same attacker, effectively swapping blockers mid-combat. This interaction can be used defensively to save Aetherplasm from removal or to suddenly present a different blocker, including replaying Aetherplasm itself to dodge certain effects.
