Undercity Plague (GTC 83, Foil) is a black sorcery from the Gatecrash expansion that carries the Cipher mechanic. Its resolution causes a target player to lose 1 life, discard a card, and sacrifice a permanent, and then you may exile the card encoded on a creature to create triggered copies when that creature deals combat damage to players. Encoded copies are created and cast from exile, letting you repeatedly apply the spell’s effects when the chosen creature deals combat damage.
