It sets all creatures you control to base power and toughness X/X until end of turn, overwriting effects that set power/toughness to specific values while still interacting with modifiers like counters and Auras. As a variable-cost global pump or reset effect, it can be used either to boost a wide board to large sizes or, if X is zero, unintentionally cause creatures to become 0/0 and die.
