Red Mana Battery (4ED 343) is a Rare artifact from Fourth Edition that stores charge counters and converts them into red mana. It can pay {2}, {T} to put a charge counter on itself and can {T} and remove any number of charge counters to add one red plus an additional red for each counter removed. Its ability to be tapped without counters means it can start accruing charges immediately and later produce burst mana for red spells or activations.
