Mana Short (4ED-85) is a rare blue instant from Fourth Edition that targets a player and taps all lands they control while removing their unspent mana. Its primary rule effect prevents that player from using any mana already generated but does not retroactively counter spells that were already paid for, and it can even tap lands that don't produce mana. As an instant it can be used in response windows and is most effective timed during an opponent's upkeep to disrupt their available mana next turn.
