Animate Dead (4ED 118) is an Enchantment — Aura from Fourth Edition that targets a creature card in a graveyard. When it enters the battlefield it returns that creature to the battlefield under your control, becomes attached to it, and gives the creature -1/-0; if Animate Dead leaves play the creature is sacrificed. The card’s unusual enchant ability and triggered return effect make it a recurring reanimation engine that can bring back key creatures but creates a dependency on the Aura remaining attached.
