Rod of Absorption (AFC-288) is an artifact from the Forgotten Realms Commander set. It exiles instants and sorceries as they resolve and later lets you pay {X}, tap, and sacrifice it to cast any number of those exiled spells with total mana value X or less without paying their costs. The card serves as both long-term spell recursion and a potential one-shot combo enabler by stockpiling spells for a single big free cast sequence.
