Hostage Taker (AFC-186) is a rare creature card, a Human Pirate from the Forgotten Realms Commander set. When it enters the battlefield, it exiles another target creature or artifact and lets you cast that card for as long as it remains exiled, with any color of mana usable to cast it. That effect can temporarily steal opponents’ permanents or let you cast an opponent’s card, and if Hostage Taker leaves play the exiled card returns immediately if still exiled.
