At the beginning of the enchanted enchantment’s controller’s upkeep, that player may pay any amount of mana; the Aura deals 2 damage to them and prevents X of that damage where X equals the amount paid. This creates a recurring tax/penalty interaction against players using the enchanted enchantment and can pressure resource-heavy enchantments over time.
