It gains a +1/+1 counter whenever you cast a noncreature spell that costs four or more total mana, and it has the Blow Up ability allowing you to tap and sacrifice it to deal damage equal to its power to a target creature. As a low-cost one-drop that can grow and trade itself for removal, it functions as an aggressive utility creature in red decks.
