Hypnotic Sprite // Mesmeric Glare (FIC-264) is an Adventure card that presents a 2/1 blue Faerie creature with flying and a back-face instant Adventure. The Adventure side, Mesmeric Glare, counters a target spell with mana value 3 or less and then exiles the card, allowing the controller to later cast the creature from exile. As an Adventure card it functions in two roles: a tempo counterspell early and a small evasive threat when cast as the creature.
