Winter Orb (5ED-408) is a rare artifact from Fifth Edition that modifies untap steps while it remains untapped. As long as it is untapped, no player may untap more than one land during their untap step, strongly restricting mana recovery. Its disruptive effect makes it a lock or resource-denial piece that shapes deck strategies and timing around tapping or otherwise neutralizing the Orb.
