Hecatomb (5ED-167) is a black enchantment from Fifth Edition that requires a decision on entering the battlefield. When it enters, you either sacrifice four creatures or sacrifice Hecatomb, presenting a steep cost-versus-effect tradeoff. By tapping an untapped Swamp you control you can have Hecatomb deal 1 damage to any target, giving a repeatable ping that scales with your available Swamps and creatures.
