Animate Dead (5ED-140) is a black Enchantment — Aura from Fifth Edition that targets a creature card in a graveyard and becomes attached to the creature it returns. Its triggered ability returns the enchanted creature to the battlefield under your control and then attaches this Aura to it while granting the creature −1/−0. If Animate Dead leaves the battlefield, the creature brought back must be sacrificed, creating a built-in risk and timing consideration for reanimation strategies.
