The Motherlode, Excavator (PIP-917 foil) is a Legendary Artifact Creature — Robot from the Fallout set. When it enters the battlefield you gain energy counters equal to a chosen opponent’s nonbasic lands, and its attack-triggered option can spend four energy to destroy a nonbasic land and prevent that player’s nonflying creatures from blocking that turn. Its role in a deck is as a red midrange/attrition threat that generates resource advantage and performs targeted land hate on attack windows.
