Biomass Mutation (PIP-1003 foil) is an instant from the Fallout expansion that sets the base power and toughness of creatures you control to X/X until end of turn. The spell’s cost is {X}{G/U}{G/U}, letting you choose X to massively increase or reduce creatures’ base stats and it interacts with other modifiers by replacing base values before applying bonuses and switches. As a result, it can serve both as a wide pump for your board or a risky board wipe if X is set to 0, and it overwrites effects that set power/toughness to specific values while still allowing modifiers and counters to apply.
