Merseine (FEM-23a) is a blue Enchantment — Aura from the Fallen Empires set that enchants a creature. It enters with three net counters and prevents the enchanted creature from untapping while any net counters remain, and the creature’s controller may pay that creature’s mana cost to remove counters at any time. The ability lets the enchanted creature’s controller choose when to remove counters, creating a strategic resource trade-off between keeping the creature tapped and reclaiming its untap via repeated payments.
