Spreading Algae (8ED 281, foil) is a green Enchantment — Aura from Eighth Edition that has Enchant Swamp. When the enchanted Swamp becomes tapped, that land is destroyed, and if the Aura is put into the graveyard from the battlefield it returns to its owner's hand. It functions as a recurring land-hate or tempo piece that can repeatedly punish opponents who tap Swamps while remaining resilient due to its self-return ability.
