Divert Disaster (EOE 55, foil) is a blue instant from the Edge of Eternities set that can counter a spell unless its controller pays {2}. If the opponent pays, you instead create a Lander artifact token that can be tapped and sacrificed for {2} to fetch a basic land card onto the battlefield tapped. The card plays as a reactive control piece that also generates a mana-fixing token when the counter is avoided.
