Foul Renewal (DTK 101) is a black instant from Dragons of Tarkir that returns a target creature card from your graveyard to your hand. When cast you also give a target creature -X/-X until end of turn, where X equals the toughness of the returned card. The card can be used both as graveyard recursion and as a tempo or removal tool by reducing a creature’s toughness temporarily.
