It replaces any land tapped for two or more mana so it produces colorless and increases the cost of each spell a player casts by {1} for each other spell that player has cast that turn. The card is commonly used to tax storm and multicolor or big-mana strategies by both increasing spell costs and limiting nonbasic/two-plus mana sources.
