Volcanic Salvo (PM21-172) is a red sorcery from the Core Set 2021 promos that originally printed with a high base cost and an X-style cost reduction tied to your creatures' total power. It deals 6 damage to each of up to two target creatures and/or planeswalkers, and its casting cost is reduced by the total power of creatures you control but cannot reduce the two red mana requirement. Its role in decks is as a board- or walker-clear option that can become cheaper in creature-heavy red builds, enabling large damage for a single spell.
