Promise of Loyalty (CMM 833) is a white sorcery from Commander Masters that forces each player to keep exactly one creature and put a vow counter on it while sacrificing their other creatures. The creature with a vow counter can't attack you or planeswalkers you control for as long as it has that counter, effectively locking one opposing creature off from attacking you. The spell can be used defensively to protect you and your planeswalkers while clearing the board of other creature threats.
