At the beginning of your upkeep it makes you lose 1 life and amass Zombies 1, creating a 0/0 Zombie Army token if you have no Army and putting a +1/+1 counter on an Army you control. When a Zombie token you control with power 6 or greater attacks, that token gains lifelink until end of turn, letting it convert large attackers into life gain while serving as a slow token generator.
