It destroys an opponent’s permanent and then causes that player to reveal cards until they put a permanent of the same card type onto the battlefield, with the rest placed on the bottom of their library in random order. This creates a chaotic swing by replacing the destroyed permanent with a potentially different permanent type determined by revealed cards.
