Vhal, Candlekeep Researcher (CLB 387, Legendary Creature — Human Wizard) is a blue legendary creature from Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate. Vhal has vigilance and can tap to add colorless mana equal to its toughness, but that mana cannot be used to cast spells from your hand. As a commander it includes the Choose a Background ability, allowing it to be paired as a second commander with a Background enchantment.
